Miami to Vero Beach one South Florida Law Firm is Dressing 'down' to 'raise' Breast Cancer Awareness and Research Funds

Since its birth in September 1997, the South Florida personal injury law firm of Steinger, Iscoe & Greene has been a benchmark of professionalism and legal tradition in its practice and appearance. This Friday, October 2, 2009, for the first time in its 12-year history, the West Palm Beach, Port St. Lucie, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami offices of Steinger, Iscoe & Greene will be dressing down to raise breast cancer awareness and research funds. Clients from Miami to Vero Beach will see denim in the hallways, at the desks, and in the conference rooms--all for a cause that transcends professional etiquette and appearances; reaching far beyond office walls and "business as usual" into the lives and hearts of breast cancer survivors, fighters, and their families.

Just one year before Steinger, Iscoe & Greene came into existence, Lee National Denim Day was initiated, and in its first year had a goal of raising $1 million as they invited companies to go casual for a cause. In the last 13 years, the initiative has raised more than $75 million toward resources and research and will unite nearly 1 million supporters across thousands of U.S. businesses this Friday, Oct. 2, 2009.

The social conversation around breast cancer and its hold on an increasing percentage of grandmothers, mothers, sisters, daughters, and nieces throughout South Florida and national communities, has permeated the walls of the firm itself as legal staff have fought and won against the disease. Breast cancer research and awareness continues to be an important cause for the members of Steinger, Iscoe & Greene, who have put rubber to the road as they walked as a Team SIG in both the 2008 and 2009 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure walks in downtown West Palm Beach, Florida. The firm is proud to support this worthy cause and will continue to fight alongside others until a breast cancer cure is found. This week the firm is bringing the fight into its Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Port St Lucie offices.

The entire Steinger, Iscoe & Greene legal team of near 100 will be in SIG red, breast cancer awareness pink and Lee-inspired denim all day long. Founding partner, Michael S. Steinger states, "We want to ensure that our firm does all it can toward inspiring and achieving positive change and hope throughout our community." To this end Steinger, Iscoe & Greene partners are matching each $5 donation by the firm's more than 100 legal professionals. Steinger, Iscoe & Greene looks forward to donating at least $1,000 to support Christina Applegate's Right Action for Women and the National Breast Cancer Coalition through their Lee National Denim Day participation.
